High Temperature SOEC for Efficient Reduction of CO2

Solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) can reduce CO2 (CO2/H2O) into CO (syngas), a high value added feedstock for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, with high efficiency using renewable electrical energy, and thus have attracted increasing attentions in the field of energy and environment. SOEC  employs full solid state configuration, which is convenient for electrodes preparation, assembly and stack installation. And the high operating temperature of SOEC can benefit from favorable kinetics and thermodynamics.
