The All-China Women's Federation has honored 10 women with the title of National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetters, and the other 300 March 8th Red-Banner Individual Holders and 200 March 8th Red-Banner Collectives ahead of International Women's Day. Prof. Xiulian Pan was honored as 8th Red-Banner Individual Holder.

The honors were founded in 1960, which are the highest honors of Chinese outstanding women granted by The All-China Women's Federation. The honors not only show the inspiring of national role models, but also encourage women to learn from them.
