On 4 December, Prof. Ronggui Yang from University of Colorado Boulder paid a visit to our lab, and gave a lecture on the Forum for Basic Studies on Energy.
Ronggui Yang is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research interests are on the fundamentals of nanoscale transport phenomena (thermal, electrical, thermoelectric, phase-change) and the applications of micro/nanotechnologies for energy conversion, storage and thermal management. This lecture is about building the brides to the sun and the universe to reduce global warming. He talked about the recent research developments from his group, such as the desalination of water by using solar energy and radiative cooling. (By Xiaowei Lu)
