On 3 August, "Science and Technology Daily" officially announced the list of 2018 National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. A total of 200 scientists from 112 units have obtained this fund, including Prof. Qiang Fu from our group.

The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars aims to provide an opportunity to young scholars who have made outstanding achievements in basic research to explore innovative researches and to cultivate a number of world-leading qualified technical talents. The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars was founded in 1994, and 49 people were selected for the first batch.

Prof. Xinhe Bao and Prof. Pan Xiulian have been awarded the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars in 1995 and 2014 respectively.
