Concentrate on the oxide-based catalytic systems, including oxide/metal, oxide/oxide, and metal/oxide interfaces. Apply STM-based techniques including low temperature STM and high pressure STM to achieve an atomic-scale understanding of interface confinement effect at the oxide-based catalysts. Investigate the activation and conversion of small molecules such as CO, CO₂, O₂, H₂, and H₂O at atomic scale.
